Making Peace With The Wind (For Elliot)

Making Peace With The Wind (For Elliot)

Elliot and I stood on the sands

And Elliot turned around to face the infinte sea

While gazing at it's vastness a strong wind blew over the sea

Elliot took in his last breath and suddenly casted it into the Wind

Until there was nothing left of him but a shell

And the Wind called upon Time

And Time moved the sands

And the sands claimed his former shell, engulfing it

And there I was, left deserted ,standing on a dune

Struggling to break it's impenetratable surface

But with each passing moment

Time would create a new layer of sand

And I pleaded with Time

"Please remove these layers my friend is under there,

And Time began to laugh

Saying " How strong your arrogance, and your naivity

That you would ask me to remove

That which has been carefully laid down

Or to even propose that a servant of life could do such a thing.

For I would have to be a God to even remove a single grain

I, like the hands of a clock can not extend past the present moment"

And so I asked Time who do you serve so that I might reclaim my friend

And Time said " I serve the Wind,

Who is the only one who can blow through my sands"

And so I stood on the shore and talked to the Wind.

And I explained to the Wind what happened to Elliot"

Time has buried my friend and he says that you are a God,

The only one who can remove the layers that Time has created.

The wind responded saying " I could remove the layers of sand

For I blow through and emcompass all things,

A God Time calls me, I am more like an artist,

And I draws the course of all things in the sand

And once my drawings are complete

They are buried in the sands of Time

Look for your friend not in the transcient nature of the sand

For the images of the sand are from the perfected strokes of my brush

Be filled with joy as I am, for another work of art has been created

As Elliot has returned back to the Artist

Let him be celebrated as a perfect expression of my craft."

She will be alright. Let go and let life

It hurts to see the person that is the most closest to me in this world going through pain, loss and confusion, and I know she feels like she is losing herself right now and needs to venture more down the road of self discovery. But its makes me happy because I know that she has to go through this to become greater. She is my twin and I understand that this is a struggle for her right now, she is on her journey to gain her most precious jewel, herself.
Sometimes it hurts, because I want my words or a simple hug to help her reach a "satori"(instant enlightment) state, so she can be at peace and move on with her journey. But I know I have to let go and let life do it's thing. I know she will be fine.

I want to give her lessons that speak resurrection to her soul.

But I am now humbled by the instructor who speaks exprience

because I am just a peer in the same classroom

And so I trust in this silent teacher.

The one who teaches trees to grow

Suns to shine

babies to walk in new worlds

and that will teach my twin to fly again in new skies.

Love you Asha. Your twin Ahri

Complextiy of Simplicity

Some people say Life is hard. I think that our culture is hard. We live in a culture in which the ideas that raised us never forces us to think for ourselves. We are raised by institutions like schools and churches. Institutions that mold and shape our ideological and theological beliefs. We are raised by corportations who influence us to buy into their products, and we end up buying into their ideas and we let their ideas justify and define who we are. We live in a society that forces us to suppress natural urges and neglect simplicity in order to fit into our society's view of comfortablity. Everday we go out we wear masks. We wear mask so long that we end up mistaking the mask for our actual face. And if we get sick of the mask and want to expose our real face, who we were made to be , we are looked at as crazy or we have lost our minds. My point is that there are so many distractions in this society that takes us away from who we are and what we were made to be. There are so many things we have surrendered our intelligence to because we have given it trust because it helped raised and shape us. We have let our creations and technology do the living for us. We have made life so complex that we can't even make simple decisions. . We are in control of so many things, but we can't even control being happy, or being at peace. Alot of us don't believe we can control our reality, unless it is picking up a remote control and turning on the tv. Putting your key in the ignition and turning on your car, picking up your cell phone to text message or call someone. If I told the average person in our culture that they are in control of their life from now until the day they leave this earth, they would not believe me, because we are so use to being responsive and we are responsive in ways that gives us less control of situations. Are we in control of our lives? I would say yes. We have the ability to choose. Not only do we have the ability to make a choice about our actions, we have the ability to make choices about the way we perceive events and situations. We are all creators, we might not have created the cards that were dealt to us, but we can choose to use those cards to our best advantage and create better realities for us to live in. We are always creating, we say life sucks, life really sucks because we are giving permission through our thoughts that life sucks, when we say life is beautiful that is because we choose to see it at such. The key to life is to understand the essence of who and what you are. Your are a creator and you were made in the image of the ultimate creator. We are all spiritual beings a having a human experience. This is not religious it just means that what we really are is not in the realm of physical limitations. Human life is just a short break in our journey back to our true selves. We are here to learn about life and master the power of intention and create what we want, that is what our creator had in mine for us.
